An inspired alchemist, Miet Warlop performs the joyous fusion of performing arts and fine arts. Her theatre pertains to the metamorphosis od bodies and objects, in which the imagination allows all kinds of transformations. She develops a new stage language, with strong pictorial content.

Dive into absurd play fun.
Walking hairballs, a table on stiletto heels, remote controlled toy sharks… Ghent’s Miet Warlop has bombarded us with the craziest scenes over the past few years. Her performances are somewhere in between absurd theater and amazing tableaux vivants. They leave a deep imprint and stay on your mind. Her solo creation ‘Dragging the bone’ is based on the little statue of ‘Il legato di Piacenza’ which, in ancient mythology, was used as an oracle. What meaning can prophecies have in this day and age? Her mix of ‘serious’ humor and frightening ecstasy takes a dive into your imagination to reveal its biggest secrets!

Warlop’s visual playground is moving” – Theaterkrant

Those who dare take a dive into the unknown are rewarded with a visual gem.” – Enola.be
