In a distant future, humanity has started afresh after a global digital collapse which wiped out all traces of the 21st century. The discovery of an ancient manuscript, written around 2099 by Joël Maillard, will be a tool for the revival of this lost memory.

In the more for less distant future, an expert of the past comes across a manuscript written in 2099 by a certain Joël Maillard, born well before the global digital collapse that allowed humanity – freed from any trace of the 21th century – to reinvent itself. For this new piece, Joël Maillard creates temporal bridges between a possible youth and his imagined old age, between the childhood of humanity and its cyber-dreamed phase, washing the whole in a coat of archaeology, humour and vertigo.
