In a gigantic installation featuring an artificially cultivated rocky desert, supporting characters who seem plucked from different castings devise intimacies and encounters. Love is not personal, but difference always is.

A gallery of supporting roles, who seem plucked from different castings, devise intimacies which do not lay claim to any future proximity. Without a place to call home, without any scenario nor story, these strangers are involved, beyond colonisation, in a process of dispossession. Freeing themselves from the notion of the “other”, this “community” remains linked thanks to joys and sufferings, without any of its members being intimately linked. Maintaining Stranger follows the trace of time, wear, drifts and gaps in relationships, where intimacy is felt most intensely. Love is nothing personal, difference always is.
